About

Mission Statement

To eliminate the friction of manual reporting and replace it with strategic insight. We are dedicated to providing value-oriented consulting that transforms how companies see, understand, and utilize their data to outpace the competition.

Company Brief

Founded in 2025, Loma Analytics, LLC blends deep analytics expertise with a process-improvement mindset shaped by Lean and Six Sigma. We believe analytics should simplify decisions; not complicate them. Our consulting practice focuses on helping organizations unlock the real value of their data by delivering clean, intuitive, and actionable solutions that strengthen how teams operate and perform.

The name Loma is a personal nod to Matt's upbringing in Point Loma, a coastal community in San Diego known for its lighthouse, ocean cliffs, and maritime culture. This identity reflects our approach: grounded, reliable, and guided by a clear light toward better decision-making.

Stance on Artificial Intelligence

At Loma Analytics, we view artificial intelligence as a force multiplier, and not a replacement, for expert analytics delivery. Modern AI tools can accelerate many development and coding tasks, but their effectiveness still hinges on skilled prompting, deep domain understanding, and the judgment to validate outputs. When applied thoughtfully, AI paired with strong Power BI and data modeling expertise reduces project lead time, improves solution quality, and frees capacity to focus on high-impact insights rather than repetitive work.

Matt Hecht founded Loma Analytics on a simple premise: Business Intelligence should be a driver of growth, not just a line item. With a career spanning years as both a Principal Consultant and a Director at a premier BI firm, Matt has seen firsthand how high-impact data strategy can transform an organization.

An Industrial Engineer by trade with a self-described "data gene," Matt brings a unique blend of process efficiency and analytical rigor to every project. He moved away from the traditional agency model to chart a course that prioritizes client ROI and a first-in-class service experience.
